OUC - The Reliable One, is presently seeking a Substation Electrician II to join the Transmission, Substation, System Protection division. At OUC, we don't just work – we're building a bright future of innovation and transformation for future generations.
We are looking for a qualified Substation Electrician II professional with multi-person crew experience to perform maintenance and testing of all substation equipment. Strong troubleshooting skills are essential to be successful in this role.
In this role, you will be responsible for assisting crew in performing High Voltage (HV) & Low Voltage (LV) switching activities and ensuring vehicle remains stocked with required tools and equipment and mobile ready for next assignment. We are looking for a professional who plans ahead, remains organized, anticipates obstacles and ensures all safety protocols are followed.

The ideal candidate will have:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of four (4) years' experience in substation construction, maintenance, and testing or two (2) years as an OUC Substation Electrician III and 6 months as OUC Substation Apprentice Electrician
- Must possess a current and valid Florida Driver's License
- Class A CDL (required), tanker endorsement (Preferred)
- Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) clearance, or ability to acquire within six (6) months of hire
- For demonstration of experience as an OUC Substation Electrician III:
Completion of OUC Substation Electrician III sign-off book; and Maintenance of all safety certifications acquired at the OUC Substation Electrician III level; and Completion of required OUC Substation Electrician III level training or equivalent skills, training, or certifications (required).

Salary Range:
Starting at $38.407 per hour (Estimated $79,886.56 annually) with a structured step progression system and performance-based pay increases every 6 months up to $45.774 per hour (Estimated $95,209.92 annually)

Job Purpose:
This is a substation electrician position in a craft ladder as the next job level from the Electrician III. Assist Substation Maintenance Electricians in the maintenance of all substation equipment. Work under the direction of an Electrician I on a multi-person crew maintaining substation equipment or other assigned duties as necessary.
Primary Functions:
- Work with crews maintaining & testing all substation equipment under leadership of Electrician I or Lead Electrician.
- Assist crew in performing (HV) & Low Voltage (LV) switching activities under supervision of Electrician I or Lead Electrician.
- Review job assignments and safety procedures each morning with Electrician I or Lead Electrician.
