Foreman‑General Laborer

The Foreman‑General Laborer is responsible for overseeing the daily activities of labor crews to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to company standards. This position requires strong leadership, clear communication, and the ability to coordinate manpower, materials, tools, and schedules to meet operational goals. The Foreman‑General Laborer is expected to set a positive example for employees by demonstrating professionalism, safe work habits, accountability, and respect for others.

This role plays an important part in maintaining productivity, supporting team morale, and ensuring that company policies and job expectations are always followed.

Other duties may be assigned.

This is a fulltime maintenance job working 40 hours a week. No per diem.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities
  • Supervise and direct labor employees during daily work activities.
  • Assign tasks based on project needs, employee skill level, and work priorities.
  • Monitor job progress to ensure work is completed on time and meets quality expectations.
  • Ensure employees follow all safety policies, procedures, and job site requirements.
  • Conduct daily safety talks, toolbox meetings, and pre-task planning as needed.
  • Inspect work areas, tools, and equipment to identify hazards or needed repairs.
  • Communicate work instructions clearly to employees and report progress to management.
  • Maintain attendance, productivity, and performance records for assigned crew members.
  • Assist with training new employees on job duties, safety practices, and company expectations.
  • Address minor employee issues and report disciplinary concerns to management when necessary.
  • Must be able to perform work wearing personnel protective equipment, including but not limited to rain gear, chemical protective clothing, supplied air and air purifying respirators, safety harness, sand blast hoods, fire resistant coveralls, hard hat, ear plugs and safety glasses.
  • Regularly required to have full range of mobility in upper and lower body, able to reach overhead, work in various positions, including stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling, squatting; use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; work at heights; balance for extended periods of time.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Required
  • Previous experience in labor, maintenance, construction, industrial, or related field preferred.
  • Prior supervisory or crew lead experience is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of workplace safety procedures and hazard awareness.
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and hold employees accountable.
  • Good communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to read work instructions, follow schedules, and complete basic reports.
  • Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and work in indoor or outdoor conditions as required.

Experience – 3 years of experience in an industrial setting.

Must speak, read, and write English. Must pass a pre‑employment physical, drug test, and a background check. Must have a valid driver’s license to drive on site.
