Electrical Helper - RNC

DEL-AIR Heating, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration is a rapidly growing industry leader with seven locations serving Central Florida - Clermont, Davenport, Jacksonville, Melbourne, Sanford (headquarters), Sarasota, and Tampa
Primary Responsibilities: Under limited supervision, the electrical helper is responsible for assisting the electrician with maintaining electrical systems in residential and commercial buildings.
Specific Duties & Tasks:
- Assists with installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems.
- Reviews electrical blueprints to identify wiring circuits.
- Inspects electrical components including transformers and circuit breakers.
- Coordinates with team members to install light fixtures and other items.
- Uses a variety of industry-specific tools to perform their tasks, including ammeters, voltmeters, thermal scanners, and cable testers.
- Able to identify wires accurately, with the assistance of the electrician.
- Maintain a clean and organized job site.
- Responsible for maintaining a safe workplace and ensuring that safety is the highest priority in the workplace.
- Responsible for special projects as requested by management and other duties/ responsibilities as assigned to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.
- Ensure compliance with all Del-Air policies and procedures
Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of experience electrical service and troubleshooting, preferred.
- Basic knowledge in the use of hand and power tools used in the trade, preferred.
- Basic knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and safety practices.
- Effective oral communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Available to work overtime hours.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to meet FCCI auto guidelines to operate a company‑owned vehicle.
- Eligible to legally work in the United States.
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Successfully complete a background check and drug screen.
