Millennium Fire & Security, Inc. is a Central Florida fire and security company providing installation, service, inspection, monitoring, and support for fire alarm systems, security alarms, access control, CCTV, and related low-voltage systems.

We are growing and looking for a motivated Fire and Security Electronics Technician to join our team.

About the Role

Millennium Fire & Security, Inc. is hiring a full-time, on-site Fire and Security Electronics Technician based in the Orlando, Florida area.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on field work, solving problems, working with technology, and being part of an industry that protects people and property every day. The technician will install, service, troubleshoot, test, and maintain fire alarm systems, security alarm systems, access control systems, CCTV/surveillance systems, and other low-voltage equipment at customer locations.

We are looking for someone dependable, professional, detail-oriented, and willing to grow with the company.

Responsibilities
  • Install, service, inspect, and troubleshoot fire alarm systems, security systems, access control, CCTV, and related low-voltage equipment
  • Run, terminate, label, and test low-voltage wiring in a clean and professional manner
  • Configure and test system devices, panels, cameras, readers, sensors, and related equipment
  • Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and service calls at customer sites
  • Diagnose system issues and complete repairs efficiently and accurately
  • Read and follow wiring diagrams, installation manuals, plans, and technical documentation
  • Document work performed, materials used, and service notes clearly
  • Communicate professionally with customers, team members, and office staff
  • Explain basic system functions to customers when needed
  • Maintain a clean work area, organized tools, and proper care of company equipment or vehicle
  • Follow all company procedures, safety guidelines, and applicable fire/security standards
Qualifications
  • Experience with fire alarm systems, security alarms, CCTV, access control, low-voltage wiring, or related electrical/electronic systems is preferred
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to use hand tools, power tools, ladders, meters, and basic testing equipment safely
  • Ability to read and follow technical documents, manuals, and wiring diagrams
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in clean, organized work
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Reliable, professional, and able to work independently or as part of a team
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required
  • Ability to travel to customer sites throughout the Orlando/Central Florida area
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • NICET certification, fire alarm experience, security license, low-voltage experience, or technical training is a PLUS
