Position Summary
Field‑based HVAC technician responsible for installation, troubleshooting, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air‑conditioning equipment at customer locations on behalf of Trane Technologies.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate with team leader/project manager and customers to understand installation and repair requirements, forecast issues, gather materials and synchronize on‑site work.
- Serve as the direct customer contact and manage products and equipment on assigned projects, ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Use diagnostic software, hand‑tools, blueprints and engineering specifications to identify, diagnose and repair HVAC units.
- Maintain flexibility to work overtime, weekends and occasional overnight stays as required.
- Enforce safety standards and maintain security of company assets by recording use, wear and condition.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of HVAC experience; formal training or technical school preferred.
- Operational knowledge of Microsoft Office and hand‑held computing devices (Smartphone, iPad).
- Valid driver’s license for at least 12 months without major or frequent traffic violations (including DUI, hit‑and‑run, license suspension, reckless/careless driving or multiple infractions in the past 3 years).
- EPA certification (where required).
- Operate a vehicle safely with seat belt.
- Wear personal protective equipment: helmets, safety goggles, fall protection harness, safety boots.
- Be able to twist torso 90 degrees, squat to floor, reach overhead and stand on concrete surfaces for up to 4 hours.
- Lift and move up to 10 lbs routinely, up to 40 lbs frequently and occasionally more than 40 lbs when using a ladder with 375‑lb total weight limit carrying equipment ≤50 lbs.
- Maneuver confined access areas (minimum 30" × 45") and access rooftops with extension or fixed ladders up to 20 feet routinely, up to 50+ feet occasionally.
- Work in variable weather, heights, moving mechanical parts, risk of electrical shock and noisy environments.
Hourly Base Pay: $21.89 – $40.34. No incentive or commission eligibility.
