Job Title:
Electrical Foreman

Job Description

Lead a skilled crew in electrical installations and maintenance. Your expertise will ensure efficient, safe, and code-compliant electrical systems within commercial and industrial environments.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain clean work areas for equipment installation.

  • Plan new or modified installations to minimize waste and comply with specifications and local electrical codes.

  • Install controls and distribution gear, including switches, panel boards, disconnects, and inverters.

  • Analyze and implement proper fastening systems for equipment support.

  • Terminate wiring and equipment as per code or job specifications.

  • Connect power cables to equipment such as disconnects, panel boards, inverters, motors, and transformers per manufacturer specifications and permitted drawings.

  • Prepare sketches or follow diagrams/blueprints to ensure concealed wiring is installed before the completion of walls, ceilings, and flooring.

  • Test circuit continuity to ensure electrical compatibility and safety using instruments like amp probes, clamp meters, and voltage meters.

  • Observe installed equipment or systems to determine hazards and needs for adjustments, relocation, or replacement.

  • Install solar-related components (AC and DC electric) and solar modules and racking per plans.

Essential Skills
  • Extensive knowledge in construction, electrical systems, conduit, wiring, and schematics.

  • Proficiency in three-phase wiring, including color identification for 277/480V and 120/240V systems.

  • Understanding of high-leg voltage in 120/240V delta 3-phase systems.

  • Knowledge of recommended support distances for EMT conduit and bending allowances in raceways.

  • Familiarity with explosion prevention fittings and materials used in gas stations.

  • Proficient in the installation and orientation of current transformers (CTs).

  • Experience in generator installation, including line/load considerations and communication/control aspects.

  • Ability to terminate transformers in three-phase Delta Primary 480V to three-phase Secondary 120/240V Y systems.

  • Experience with hydraulic benders for conduit.

Additional

Skills & Qualifications
  • Minimum of 8+ years as an Electrician.

  • At least 2+ years of experience as a foreman in a commercial or industrial setting.

Work

Environment

Work an 8-hour shift from Monday to Friday, with occasional weekends as required. The role requires time onsite in outdoor settings. Perform tasks in a safe, professional manner adhering to all regulatory requirements including OSHA, State, and Federal regulations.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Orlando, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
