MANUFACTURING MAINTENANCE

Pocket Coil Master Mechanic

Job Description

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pocket Coil Master Mechanic to troubleshoot, maintain, repair, and optimize Lian Rou pocket coil production equipment and related assembly systems. The successful candidate will independently diagnose complex mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and controls-related issues and restore equipment to production with minimal downtime. Direct Lian Rou experience is strongly preferred; however, candidates with advanced experience maintaining comparable high-speed automated manufacturing equipment will be considered.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and controls-related faults on pocket coil production equipment and assembly systems.
  • Respond to equipment breakdowns, identify root causes, and complete repairs efficiently to minimize production downtime.
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance, component replacements, calibration, alignment, and precision mechanical adjustments.
  • Troubleshoot servo-driven systems, motors, sensors, conveyors, pneumatic components, HMIs, and PLC-related machine faults.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, technical manuals, and fault information; verify machine timing and operation after repairs.
  • Identify recurring failures, implement corrective actions, and document repairs, parts used, and follow-up work.
  • Provide technical support to machine operators and maintenance team members while following all safety and lockout/tagout procedures.
Required Qualifications
  • Advanced hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing high-speed automated production equipment.
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose electrical and mechanical faults independently.
  • Experience with servo-driven machinery, sensors, motors, conveyors, and pneumatic systems.
Required Qualifications (continued)
  • Ability to read electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical manuals.
  • Working knowledge of preventative and predictive maintenance practices.
  • Ability to perform complex troubleshooting and repairs with limited supervision in a fast-paced production environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Direct experience maintaining and repairing Lian Rou pocket coil machines.
  • Experience with pocket coil or spring manufacturing, wire-forming equipment, packaging automation, mattress manufacturing equipment, or similar automated machinery.
  • PLC troubleshooting experience with Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi, or comparable platforms.
  • Experience troubleshooting HMIs and making equipment parameter adjustments.
  • Experience with servo drives and motion-control systems, including machine timing, alignment, calibration, and precision adjustments.

Candidates without direct Lian Rou experience may be considered if they have successfully maintained one or more of the following:

  • Automated packaging equipment or high-speed assembly machines.
  • Automated textile, converting, or mattress manufacturing equipment.
  • Robotics, servo-driven automation, or mechatronics systems.

This is not a general facilities maintenance role. Candidates must have hands-on experience maintaining automated production equipment and must be capable of electrical troubleshooting. Experience limited primarily to basic preventive maintenance, lubrication, belts, bearings, or facility repairs will not meet the requirements of this senior-level position.

What Success Looks Like

A successful Pocket Coil Master Mechanic can approach a downed machine, interpret the fault, systematically troubleshoot electrical, pneumatic, mechanical, or controls-related issues, make precise repairs and adjustments, and safely return the equipment to production with minimal downtime.
