We are hiring a Train Repair Specialist for Brightline’s Train Maintenance Team.
Your duties will include conducting detailed inspections to assess the extent of structural or cosmetic damage, applying industry-standard repair techniques, and using specialized tools to perform high-quality repairs. You will ensure all work complies with safety regulations and quality standards, contributing to the reliability and safety of the rail fleet. Efficiency, precision, and adherence to best practices are essential in this role.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED required, some college, technical certification, or vocational training preferred. 3+ years of professional experience in auto body repair, or similar maintenance operations, preferably in railroad, manufacturing, or similar environments.
- Understanding of metal fabrication, welding, riveting, and composite repair methods used in train body restoration.
- Operate a variety of hand and power tools (e.g., welder, soldering equipment, cutting torch, blocks, hammers, wrenches, sander, spray guns, etc.).
- Work effectively with other technicians, engineers, and supervisors to coordinate repair efforts.
