Join Airgas as a Field Service Technician and be a valued contributor to our team dedicated to supporting the installation and service of bulk industrial and medical gas delivery systems. In this role, you’ll help ensure the safe operation of equipment, repairs, and maintenance of cryogenic pumps and systems, aligning with regulatory standards such as OSHA, FDA, ISO, and Airgas protocols.
Supporting the installation and service of cryogenic bulk installations at both Airgas facilities and customer sites.
Providing critical support for operations, ensuring continuous assistance for vital systems when needed.
Refurbishing and maintaining pressure reduction equipment linked to bulk delivery systems.
Analyzing and performing repairs on electrical systems associated with cryogenic installations.
Determining vaporizer sizes for specific applications and ensuring proper equipment identification.
Collaborating on the installation of piping systems in accordance with industry standards and company SOPs.
Conducting site surveys and coordinating necessary permits before work commencement.
Fostering the safety and integrity of installations through appropriate measures.
Performing operational due diligence during acquisitions and inspections to ensure quality.
Maintaining accurate records of equipment and conducting preventative maintenance to ensure reliability.
Upholding safety policies and procedures at all times to protect the team and community.
Overseeing spare parts inventory and reporting as required.
Required Qualifications
Constant availability (68-100% of work time).
Frequent local travel within 2 hours of home (90%).
Occasional overnight travel.
Occasional overtime (days, evenings, and weekends if necessary
Independence and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
Effective collaboration with diverse personalities and backgrounds.
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Excellent time management and multitasking skills.

Positive attitude and commitment to teamwork.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Demonstrated understanding of NFPA 99 and NFPA 50 requirements.
Previous experience in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or welding (a plus).
Ability to obtain a Certified Brazing Certificate within 30 days of employment.
Potential to obtain Medical Installation Certification within 120 days of employment.
At least two (2) years of industrial field service experience, ideally in gas generation systems.
Hands-on experience with cryogenic equipment, pressure piping, and compressors.
Proficiency in welding and brazing processes.
Thorough understanding of cryogenic and high-pressure gas characteristics and hazards.
Basic knowledge of Google Office applications (Google Docs, Sheets, Presentations, and Calendar)
Clear and effective communication for explaining information to customers and employees.
Ability to read blueprints, technical documents, and regulations.
Strong problem-solving skills in diverse situations.
Effective presentation and interpersonal skills.
