Mitigation Technician – Estimator

• Report to the Branch Manager
• Provide immediate response and mitigation services for water, fire, mold, and other damage to commercial properties
• Respond promptly to mitigation service calls and take immediate action to prevent further damage
• Inspect affected areas, assess damage, and determine appropriate restoration procedures
• Perform water extraction, drying, dehumidification, and odor control
• Document damage assessments, restoration procedures, work performed, and materials used for insurance claims and customer records
• Operate dehumidifiers, air movers, moisture meters, and thermal imaging cameras
• Follow safety protocols for team members and occupants of affected properties
• Communicate with customers, insurance providers, and team members
• Conduct quality checks to ensure restoration work meets industry standards and customer expectations
• Complete and submit all job invoices daily by the end of the workday
• Be available for scheduled on-call jobs
• Travel for extended periods depending on job size and location
• Perform other tasks assigned by the Manager, Supervisor, or Project Manager

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in mitigation and/or restoration
• IICRC (Institute of Inspection, Cleaning, and Restoration Certification) preferred but not required
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work efficiently and independently
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with customers in a professional and friendly manner
• Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy equipment (60 lbs.)
• Ability to work under pressure and stress
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of restoration techniques, equipment operation, and safety procedures
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Capable of flying to remote jobsites when requested
• Familiarity with computers and phone applications or ability to learn quickly

Demonstrates expertise in water, fire, and mold damage restoration, including effective communication with customers and insurance providers. Proficient in operating restoration equipment and adhering to safety protocols while maintaining high-quality standards.
