Position SummaryThe Job Coach of Vocational Services will provide onsite job coaching to youth and adult clients with disabilities to help them learn their job duties and maintain employment, as well as support the Employment Specialist position as needed. The Job Coach will be offered job coaching assignments on an as‑needed basis.
External CompensationEstimated annual pay range for this full‑time, hourly position is $39,000–$49,000 per year.
Essential Functions- Assist clients during employment assignments to improve soft skills and build vocational skills; provide feedback and guidance to ensure employment success.
- Create accommodations for clients to ensure employment success, including task lists, phone reminders, and modifications based on clients’ learning styles.
- Work with supervisors at partner job sites to address any issues promptly.
- Maintain clear communication with clients, families, and Vocational Rehabilitation in person or through verbal and written correspondence.
- Attend orientation and training sessions with a client once placed with an employer to provide coaching on position duties.
- Record specifics of client employment for billing purposes.
- Write detailed case notes for clients outlining all phone, text, or in‑person interactions.
- Complete various tasks for Employment Specialists as needed.
- Drive clients to various locations as required.
- Perform other related tasks as directed.
- High School diploma required; some college or a degree preferred.
- No prior experience required; experience working with individuals with a disability and/or prior counseling, job placement, job coaching, or experience within public vocational rehabilitation programs preferred.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, Adobe, and web‑based database systems.
- Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, auto registration, and auto insurance with a minimum bodily injury limit of $50,000 per person/$100,000 per accident.
- Open availability during days, evenings, and weekends.
- Ability to handle multiple deadlines and maintain confidentiality.
- Own computer, printer, smartphone with a data plan, and a high‑speed internet connection.
- Bilingual is a plus (English/Spanish); ASL is a plus.

Requires a level 2 background screening through the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse.
