Degree in Visual Disabilities, Secondary or Special Education, Rehabilitation Counseling, Human/Social Services, or related field. Master’s Degree preferred.
Experience- Two years of experience in vision rehabilitation preferred.
- Familiarity with blindness and/or broader disabilities issues is a plus.
Certified Vision Rehabilitation Therapist (CVRT).
Additional Helpful CertificationsCOMS, TSVI, CATIS, CLVT, DBS Access Technology Endorsement.
Demonstrated Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities- Proficiency with assistive technology and compensatory skills.
- Possess a working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Possess effective organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to project a positive, compassionate image to clients, co‑workers and the public.
- Independently navigate the work environment and the LCF service community.
- Moderate ability to move and lift items, usually ranging up to 25 lbs.
- Prolonged standing on occasion.
- Prolonged sitting at work station.
- Possess or be able to utilize reliable transportation.
- Must pass Level II background check.
