Job Title
Salary: $49,000/year
Position Objective
To act as the primary point of contact between the Circuit 9 dependency court system and FPOCF in all cases involving closed Permanent Guardianship. Working in conjunction with the courts and FPOCF operations and diversion staff, this position will develop and manage a process to ensure that inactive cases involving permanent guardians continue to be stable and have access to any needed services.
Essential
Functions
Utilize multiple tools to locate guardians on closed cases identified by the courts.Request an update on the child's educational and medical status and determine if services are needed for the child. If services are needed, community referrals for the child should be completed.Provide written reports and updates to the courts regarding status of cases, including the well-being of the child(ren).If a child cannot be located or is not with the court approved guardian, the Coordinator is responsible for attending the scheduled court hearing to provide updates on efforts to locate the families.If a case re-opens, the Coordinator would staff the case with the assigned case management team.Act as a liaison between guardians in need of intensive services and diversion and prevention programs.Maintain monthly data regarding workload and other outcomes and output measures.Interpret collected data for the purpose of resource allocation, identification of gaps in services, tracking of service array usage and performance of service providers.Assist with diversion related continuous quality assurance and improvement activitiesAttend and participate in relevant training and meetings.Participates in the agency strategic plan & quality improvement processes, as needed.Ability to safely & successfully perform essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA, & other federal, state, & local standards, including meeting qualitative & quantitative productivity standards.Ability to maintain reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with ADA, FMLA & other federal, state, & local standardsAbility to comply with all personnel policies & proceduresQualifications Required
- Bachelor's Degree in a Social Services related field
- 1 year of experience in child welfare
- Child Welfare Certification
Preferred
- Family finding experience
- Experience with: FSFN, FLEMMIS, CLEAR, and CCIS
Skills Required
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Proficient in the use of Word and FSFN.Ability to analyze, integrate and report data.Demonstrate cultural and linguistic competence & sensitivity to population served.Ability to travel and appear in court.Special Conditions
Thorough Background Screening upon hire including FBI, FDLE, Local Law check, Employment Reference check, DMV check, Criminal Records check, Social Security Trace & Drug Screening. FDLE check will be run at least every 5 years.On-call assignments- N/ATravel- local: 25% per week Orange, Osceola and Seminole Counties long-distance: 0% per monthPhysical & Mental Requirements
