Job Description
Our client is seeking an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to join their team developing real-time missile Operational Flight Programs (OFP). This role involves designing and implementing advanced embedded software solutions for mission-critical systems running on multi-core processors under Linux or real-time operating systems.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain real-time, object-oriented embedded software in C++ 2025 for missile OFP.
- Implement software solutions on Linux-based multi-core platforms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate software with hardware and firmware.
- Support full software development lifecycle: requirements analysis, design, coding, integration, testing, and verification.
- Participate in Agile development processes using Git Lab and Bitbucket.
- Ensure compliance with Dev Sec Ops principles, including CI/CD and automated testing.
- 6+ years of embedded real-time software development in C++ 2025 using Linux on multi-core processors.
- 3+ years of experience in one or more of the following:
Inertial navigation, guidance, autopilot, launch sequence and control. - 3+ years of experience in one or more of the following:
Gimbal Line-of-Sight (LOS) control or IR seeker image processing. - 3+ years of experience in one or more of the following: MIL-STD-1553 interface.
- 3+ years of experience in one or more of the following:
Agile development experience (Scrum, Kanban) with Git Lab and Bitbucket.
- Familiarity with FreeRTOS, Yocto, or Linux distributions (e.g., CentOS
7). - Strong understanding of C++ design patterns for embedded systems.
- Hands‑on experience with software/firmware/hardware integration.
- Knowledge of full software lifecycle processes.
- Exposure to Dev Sec Ops tools and practices (CI/CD, automated testing).
This is a Contract position based out of Orlando, FL.
Pay And BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $71.59 - $71.59/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
