Software Engineer, Full Stack Developer
Our client is one of the largest and well-known amusement and theme park corporations in the entire world as well as TV, Movie, and video streaming content delivery platform companies.
They are looking for a Senior Full-stack Java Software Engineer with strong experience in Angular, Spring Boot, API, Docker, Kubernetes, Database and some cloud. This is a hybrid role local to Orlando FL. As a Senior Software Engineer for their travel and Cruise Lines you will be creating innovative solutions by developing and implementing java applications to enhance our guest experience.
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for helping estimate, plan and develop new features. Our team believes in autonomy, empowerment, and partnership; requiring the developer to take an ownership role in the product and technology that is developed for our guests.
This position is hybrid onsite 1 day a week in their Orlando location. Candidates must be able to work directly on a W2 without sponsorship. NO C2C is allowed through a 3rd party resource.
Required Skills- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar field or related work experience.
- Five to eight years of developing Java REST applications for enterprise or consumer use.
- Two or more years developing backend systems with Typescript
- Experience working in an Agile Team consisting of product, design, QA and development.
- Strong foundation in CS Fundamentals, especially around best practices in code quality and design patterns
- Strong knowledge in Java 17, Spring Boot, Kubernetes, Docker
- Knowledge of Typescript in the backend, beneficial if experience is in nest.js
- Networking such as HTTP Protocol and Socket connections
- Web Services (SOAP & REST)
- Software Performance Optimization (memory, CPU, scaling, etc...)
- Experience with Security and OWASP recommendations
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. The position requires frequent communication with senior leaders, technical colleagues and partners across several different geographic locations and time zones
- Proven ability to work with all members of an extended and diverse project team
- Must be detail-oriented, self-organized, be committed to quality and be capable of tracking multiple issues simultaneously
- Ability to handle virtual teams and work with resources in multiple sites (onsite, offshore, near shore)
- 70% Backend development
- 30% Frontend NOT MOBILE
- 65-80$ / hr - 140-160k
