Cole Engineering Services (CESI), a By Light company, is recognized as a premier provider of modeling and simulation (M&S) training solutions to the Federal Government and industry. Since 2004, CESI has been at the forefront of developing, maintaining, and integrating simulation-based training, serious gaming, technical services, training and other support in live, virtual, constructive, and gaming (LVCG) domains. CESI also designs, builds and runs infrastructure, platforms, applications and processes that enable cyber training for the integrated multi-domain force.

Develop and maintain software in support of customer requirements. Responsibilities encompass full lifecycle software development, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, integration, and test within an Agile development environment.

• Full-cycle software development that includes requirements analysis, design, implementation, integration, and test within a complex suite of simulation products
• Design, development, and debugging of applications in various software languages
• Identification, documentation, and repair of software defects
• Compliance with software development guidelines and standards in accordance with established software development processes
• Assisting junior developers on technical issues, tools, and products
• Working effectively in a team-oriented, Scrum-based environment

• Familiarity with industry software development standards and with the capabilities of related Department of Defense software systems
• Demonstrated software engineering experience in DIS/HLA federations, developing interfaces to military simulation systems and other training simulations
• Software development experience using Java, Typescript, Python, Maven, JSON, and Linux
• Bachelor’s degree in technical discipline, such as Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or Software Engineering from an accredited college or university 10+ years of related job experience working on government DoD programs

• Software development experience using C++, ant, Visual Studio, Spring Framework, and UML
• Dev Sec Ops  experience, including git, Docker, Jenkins, nexus, and trivy
• Agile project management tools, including Jira and Confluence
• Supporting military training events/exercises utilizing simulation-based training systems
• Constructive and virtual simulations
• Secure systems
• Web frameworks/services

Please note that pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires U. S. Citizenship status with a TS/SCI security clearance. Security Clearance requirements will be specified in the Government's Task Order.
