As one of Lockheed Martin’s first cruise missiles, JASSM has experienced over 20 years of successful partnership with the U.S. Air Force, providing continued significant long‑range, precision engagement capabilities for air‑to‑ground missions. The combat‑proven and mission‑effective weapon system is designed to destroy high‑value, well‑defended, fixed and relocatable targets from significant standoff range, keeping aircrews well out of danger from hostile air‑defense systems without compromise to lethality or reach.
AGM‑158D configuration adds improvements to the system, including many classified algorithms, enhanced Software (C++) and several new classified subsystems.
This position is responsible for all phases of the software development lifecycle including requirements analysis, design, code and unit test, and hardware/software integration and verification. The individual will develop embedded software in C++ and embedded operating system in an Agile environment using JIRA, Git and Confluence. The individual will need to apply appropriate standards, processes, procedures and tools throughout the development lifecycle.
WhatYou Will Be Doing
- Develop Embedded Software
- Integrate algorithms into C/C++ applications
- Plan, conduct, and coordinate software development activities
- Design, develop, document, test, and debug software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to business/mission problems or questions in computer language for solutions by means of data processing equipment.
- Apply knowledge of computer hardware and software, subject matter to be programmed in business/mission applications, information processing techniques used, and information gathered from system users to develop software.
- Correct program errors, prepare operating instructions, compile documentation of program development, and analyze system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls.
