Description
You will be a Software Engineer on one of our weapon Internal Research and Development (IRD) teams at Lockheed Martin. Development on these teams is to provide an initial design for subsystems and give hardware demonstrations for usability into larger programs. Typically these are small multi‑functional teams working toward a common goal of providing a new classified technology for existing weapon systems.

- Develop embedded software
- Integrate algorithms into C/C++ applications
- Plan, conduct, and coordinate software development activities
- Design, develop, document, test, and debug software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to business/mission problems or questions in computer language for solutions by means of data processing equipment.
- Apply knowledge of computer hardware and software, subject matter to be programmed in business/mission applications, information processing techniques used, and information gathered from system users to develop software.
- Correct program errors, prepare operating instructions, compile documentation of program development, and analyze system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls.
This position is onsite in Orlando, Florida.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week. Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to employees. These condensed schedules provide employees additional time away from the office and are in addition to Paid Time off benefits.
Security ClearanceMust be a U.S. citizen and have, or be able to obtain, an interim Secret clearance, which is required to start. The selected candidate must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance. The position is at a facility that requires special access.
Basic Qualifications- Embedded software experience

- Operating systems:
Linux or Vx Works - Interim Secret clearance to start, with ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance. Must be a U.S. citizen.
