Job Overview

Software Engineer at Lockheed Martin’s Missiles & Fire Control (MFC) division. The role involves developing embedded software applications and desktop applications for aerospace and defense systems.

• Develop and maintain embedded software applications and/or desktop applications.
• Design, implement, test, and integrate software for an embedded multi‑core system as well as desktop computer applications for sensor emulation and countermeasure simulation.
• Apply C/C++ programming and experience with GUI development in a Linux environment.

• BS or MS degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Math, or related major.
• Experience with C++ and object‑oriented design.
• Experience with software development on Linux or similar pre‑emptive operating systems.
• Ability to obtain an interim secret security clearance before start.

• Experience with software configuration management systems (Git, Git Hub, Git Lab, SVN).
• Familiarity with Modular Open Systems Architecture (MOSA) design concepts.
• Experience with containerized development and deployment environments.
• Familiarity with Data Distribution Service (DDS).
• Familiarity with Yocto OS development.
