** What You Will Be Doing*
* As the Senior Software Quality Engineer you will be responsible for driving software quality excellence across the IRST program

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

+ Develop and apply quality principles to software and software‑based systems

+ Design and implement software development and maintenance processes

+ Define audit strategies and ensure compliance with systems/software processes

+ Design, specify, and conduct test methods for software inspection, verification, and validation

+ Evaluate and analyze software quality systems to identify and correct deficiencies

* Basic Qualifications:

*
* Bachelors degree in STEM or higher  preferable in one of the following disciplines:
Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering  or equivalent combined education/experience

Experience with product development phases

Software Quality or Engineering experience in Requirements Analysis, Design/Development, Product Integration and Test

Demonstrated ability to use causal analysis tools to analyze and resolve technical/process issues varying from basic to very complex

** Desired

Skills:

*
* Familiar with the Atlassian Suite of tools  Jira, Confluence, etc   and Gitlab

Familiar with automated test system platforms  NI Test Stand, NI LabVIEW, System Link  

Basic understanding of electro mechanical engineering drawings and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing  GD&T  with the ability to inspect drawings for compliance

Lean Six Sigma  Green Belt

Effective interpersonal skills, including Team building and Collaboration

Experience with presentation & problem solving skills

Experience with Government customers

Strong knowledge of Industry recognized Quality

Systems/Models such as Capability Maturity Model Integrated  CMMI , QMS System Audit  AS9100, ISO
9001

Experience with verification and validation processes

Different program phase experience  development, production, sustainment

Corrective Action Board  Process, Command Media, corrective action , preventive action, Root Cause Analysis

SAP software and DELMIA Apriso

Handling and Dispositioning Nonconformances

Lab/Test Equipment Hardware knowledge or background skills

Proficient skill level with Microsoft Office applications:
Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc

Demonstrated basic understanding of audit techniques

Ability to interpret software design and code  C/C    to verify implementation of requirements
