Description: Lockheed Martin seeks a Software Quality Engineer Associate in Orlando, FL to develop and maintain Systems and Software Quality Engineering common processes aligned with AS9100 Quality Management System, Program and Customer requirements.
Responsibilities:
The Software Quality Engineer responsibilities include, but are not limited to: develops, modifies and applies quality principles to the development and use of software and software-based systems for make and/or buy software products; develops overall operating criteria to ensure implementation of the software quality program according to project, process and contract requirements and objectives; designs and implements software development and maintenance processes;
defines audit strategy to ensure compliance to systems/software processes; designs, specifies and conducts test methods for software inspection, verification and validation; evaluates and analyzes software quality systems for deficiency identification and correction; ensures measures meet acceptable reliability standards; performs software product reviews against contractual, technical and/or process requirements; reviews requirement specifications, design documents, source code, test plans and procedures, materials, tools, techniques, and methodologies;
performs or directs verification of software requirement allocations, traceability, and testability.
Travel may be required to support program activities.
Candidate must work well in a team environment as this role requires interfacing with systems and software development personnel, test and evaluation personnel, and project managers.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Technical Engineering, preferably in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical, Industrial Engineering
- Ability to read and understand software code
- Knowledge of software development
- Must be a US Citizen. This position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

- Understanding of Lean Six Sigma tools and processes
- Ability to organize and track multiple activities and prioritize tasks based on importance
- Ability to review, interpret and apply Drawings and Specifications to determine compliance with requirements
- Demonstrated presentation skills, demonstrated problem solving skills
- Demonstrated basic understanding of audit techniques
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules. This position is onsite full‑time. Schedule for this position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week.
