Job DescriptionYou will be the Software Quality Engineer for the Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) team. Our team is responsible for pioneering high-performance air and missile defense, air‑to‑air, precision fires, close combat, sustainment, sensors, strike system, and energy storage solutions to support our war fighting and civilian customers.
What You Will Be DoingAs the Software Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our software solutions, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to deliver innovative products. Your expertise will play a critical role in driving the success of our programs, and you will have opportunities to work on a wide range of projects that impact national security. Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing and implementing software quality processes and procedures
- Collaborating with development teams to identify and mitigate software risks
- Analyzing and resolving software quality issues
- Participating in program activities, including occasional travel to support customer needs
We're looking for a collaborative and detail‑oriented Software Quality Engineer to join our team. - Experience working with cross‑functional teams (developers, system engineers, testers, suppliers) to ensure they understand and follow prescribed quality and process controls
- Demonstrated experience performing evaluations of software processes and products
- Experience in test planning, processing, and nonconformance processing, including root cause analysis and corrective action development
- Experience in establishing quality assurance performance metrics for identifying process improvement
- Experience with US Military customers and/or other government customer support organizations
- Experience working with defense subcontractors and suppliers
- Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt)
- Root Cause Analysis methodologies and development of Corrective Action Plans
- Knowledge of Industry recognized Quality Systems / Models such as Capability Maturity Model Integrated (CMMI), QMS System Audit (AS9100, ISO
9001)
