Senior Software Engineer, Deployment – Developer Platform Engineering

Salary: $117,752 to $143,600 per year (inclusive of bonuses and incentives)

As a member of Developer Platform Engineering, you will construct tools and offerings to accelerate Disney Streaming’s product and accomplice portfolios. Your work will enable cloud‑native practices and new developer workflows, building automation for infrastructure and software life cycles.

• Expand and deploy tools and offerings to automate infrastructure and software lifecycle processes.
• Design and build RESTful and GraphQL‑based services in Python.
• Handle persistence requirements across a growing number of ephemerally managed environments.
• Facilitate adoption of cloud‑native concepts and technologies for the wider engineering organization.
• Collaborate with internal clients to accelerate adoption of platform solutions.

• BA/BS in computer science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 2+ years building software on
  * nix platforms and cloud systems.
• Experience with containerized deployments.
• Self‑learner, impartial, and strong problem‑solving skills.
• Passionate about software craftsmanship and customer‑centric development.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Experience with container schedulers (Kubernetes, ECS, Nomad).
• Implemented immutable infrastructure patterns.
• Improved reliability of distributed systems.
• Deployed and operated geographically distributed, redundant services.
• Engagement with open‑source communities.

• Languages:

The hiring range for this position is $117,752 to $143,600, consistent with year, factoring in geographic location. Base pay is awarded with internal equity and may vary based on location, job‑related knowledge, skills, and interests. A bonus and/or long‑term incentive award may be offered as part of the compensation package, along with the full range of clinical, monetary, and other benefits, depending on level and function.
