Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Firmware Engineer to support the development of next-generation embedded systems and products. This role is ideal for a hands‑on engineer with deep expertise in firmware development, RTOS environments, bare‑metal microprocessor programming, and modern C++ development.
The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining embedded software solutions for both existing and new product platforms. This position offers the opportunity to work on cutting‑edge embedded technologies while influencing the architecture and direction of future products.

Responsibilities- Design, develop, debug, and maintain embedded firmware for microprocessor‑based systems.
- Develop software in C++ for new product development efforts.
- Support and maintain existing firmware platforms written in
C. - Create firmware solutions utilizing Zephyr OS, RTOS environments, and bare‑metal architectures.
- Develop low‑level drivers, hardware interfaces, and board support packages.
- Interface closely with hardware, electrical, systems, and test engineering teams throughout the product lifecycle.
- Participate in firmware architecture, design reviews, and code reviews.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex embedded hardware/software integration issues.
- Optimize firmware performance, reliability, and maintainability.
- Develop and execute unit tests, integration tests, and hardware validation activities.
- Support product bring‑up, debugging, and deployment activities.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with Linux‑based embedded systems.
- Experience developing firmware for connected devices, sensors, communications systems, or industrial products.
- Familiarity with embedded networking protocols and communication interfaces.
- Experience with ARM‑based processors and microcontrollers.
- Knowledge of hardware schematics and board‑level troubleshooting.
- Experience working in an Agile development environment.
- Demonstrated personal passion for embedded systems through hobby projects, home labs, robotics, maker activities, or open‑source contributions.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Orlando, FL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $72.00 – $79.00/hr.
