Overview
Sr Software Engineer - Dev Sec Ops role with Disney Experiences (DX). This is not a remote role; you must be in the local area or willing to relocate.
What You’ll Do- May lead small projects encompassing analysis, design, programming, debugging, and modification of software enhancements and/or new products used in local, networked, cloud-based, or Internet-related computer programs.
- Responsible for performing testing and debugging of applications.
- Code may be used in commercial and end-user applications or focus on software and tools supporting infrastructure and technology platforms.
- Code at the component level.
- Work typically involves large or highly sophisticated software programs and systems.
- Possess a proven understanding of current programming language and technologies, with strong skills in writing code and completing programming tasks.
- Interact with users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications.
- Conceive, design, develop, test, and implement software components, fixes, improvements, and/or new systems and applications.
- Design and develop highly scalable software systems and applications.
- You will be expected to stay up to date with emerging technologies and leverage AI tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, Git Hub Copilot, etc.
- Minimum 5 years of related work experience.
- Comfortable working in an agile environment.
- Expertise in Python, Go, Bash, and a general understanding of object-oriented programming.
- Proficiency in CI/CD systems, such as Harness and Jenkins, with a proactive demeanor towards continuous learning and skill development.
- Excellent problem solving and debugging skills.
- Familiarity with agentic coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Github Copilot.
- Proficiency in mobile application development and debugging, including iOS and Android.
- Harness platform experience.
- Experience working with macOS and/or Linux operating systems.
- Experience using Node.js and Vue.js.
Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software, or a comparable field of study, and/or equivalent work experience.
Compensation and BenefitsThe hiring range for this position in Orlando is $ - $ per year. The base pay offered will consider internal equity and may vary by geographic region, knowledge, skills, and experience. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
