Position: Hub/ModStar Senior Software Engineer Staff / Full Stack / Orlando, FL

Description

You will be the Senior Software Engineer Full Stack for the Hub and Mod Star team. Our team designs, develops, and sustains full‑stack applications that power critical MFC missions.

What You Will Be Doing

As the Senior Software Engineer Full Stack you will be responsible for delivering end‑to‑end software solutions while providing technical leadership to the Hub and Mod Star teams.

  • Design, develop, and maintain full‑stack web applications from front‑end UI to back‑end services.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, championing best practices and high‑quality code.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable software designs.
  • Own the CI/CD pipeline implementation and ensure secure, reliable deployments.
  • Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and continuously improve application reliability and maintainability.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN – This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance. A company‑sponsored interim secret clearance is required to start.

Basic Qualifications
  • Ability to obtain interim secret security clearance to start. Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Proven experience in full stack web development with a focus on technologies such as React, Next.js, Node.js, Redux, Tailwind CSS, Bootstrap, and Type Script.
  • Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Knowledge of database design and development using Object Relational Mapping (ORM).
  • Strong understanding of software design patterns, principles, and best practices.
  • Experience with agile development methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
Desired Skills
  • Experience with containerization (e.g., Docker) and orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes).
  • Strong communication and team collaboration skills.
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of security best practices and experience with security testing.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud).
  • Experience with CI/CD Pipelines, Azure, and PostgreSQL.
  • Knowledge of testing frameworks (e.g., Playwright, Jest, Mocha) and experience with unit testing and integration testing.
Security Clearance Statement

Work Schedules

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week. Part‑time Remote Telework:
The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
