Competing at the elite level—whether as an Olympian, World Champion, or D1 First Team All-American—demands a rare level of discipline. The question is: can you transform those championship principles into concrete coaching methods that turn students into top performers?

Texas Sports Academy is where your next challenge begins. You won't be watching from the sidelines. You'll be on the ground every day, actively coaching students and pushing them past their perceived limits. This isn't about recounting past victories. It's about converting elite athletic rigor into practical motivational frameworks, teaching mental toughness through interactive workshops, and leading intense training sessions where every participant is held to elite standards.

Austin provides year-round access to outdoor training environments, a dynamic sports community, and a purpose-driven setting where your championship background becomes the cornerstone for developing future leaders.

Coach with intention. Drive change through execution. Submit your application today.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Conducting focused 1:1 coaching sessions where you convert your competitive discipline into tangible, actionable mentorship strategies
  • Delivering dynamic morning assemblies that activate and inspire the entire student population
  • Guiding interactive life skills workshops where you directly coach students through exercises in resilience, leadership, and goal achievement
  • Directing organized afternoon athletic training that embodies championship principles: creating drills, demanding effort, refining technique, and instilling grit and collaboration through athletic practice (not simply overseeing activity)
  • Actively connecting with every student across the school day: moving through spaces during independent study periods, stepping in to inspire when a student is struggling, and generating real-time learning opportunities that spark transformative thinking
What You Won’t Be Doing
  • Observing passively from the sidelines: this is not a symbolic or honorary coaching position. You will be directly involved, leading sessions, and intervening as situations unfold.
  • Delivering conventional academic instruction or adhering to a set curriculum: students use adaptive learning apps for academics. Your focus is life coaching, motivation, and developing meta-skills through athletics and direct mentorship.
Basic Requirements
  • We are looking for former elite athletes who have reached the pinnacle of competitive sport — Olympians, World Champions, professional players in the NFL, NBA, MLB, MLS, or NHL, or NCAA Division I All-Americans
  • Bachelor's degree in any field
  • Demonstrated experience leveraging sport to mentor and develop life skills
  • Proven motivational leadership in athletic, academic, or professional contexts
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without need for visa sponsorship
  • Willing to reside in or relocate to Austin, TX
