National Airlines, based in Orlando, FL, operates passenger charter service as well as customized military and commercial air cargo carriages worldwide. National Airlines specializes in over-sized, time sensitive, and special handling requirements, utilizing 747-400 and A-330 aircraft to accomplish its missions.

Essential Functions:

  • Participates in the company’s Safety Management System (SMS) in accordance with the responsibilities detailed in the Safety Management System Manual
  • Maintains all manuals issued by National Airlines in current form.
  • Familiarizes all aspects of the flight including but not limited to:
    Cabin Safety, Cabin Service, Aircraft/Passenger security requirements, Passenger Manifest, including special needs passengers, and any additional information provided by the Pilot-in-Command, Second-in-command and/or Operations Control
  • Follows and enforces safety and security in accordance with company policies and procedures including ensuring the safety of our guests in compliance with all Federal Aviation requirements.
  • Actively promotes a service culture that emphasizes learning, continuous improvement, effective communication and adherence to the highest safety and service standards in accordance with all National Airlines approved/accepted manuals.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Experience, Qualification & Skills:

  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • U.S. citizenship is required due to contract requirements and destination country regulations for Flight Attendants on certain routes.
  • Valid U.S. passport with more than 12 months validity required
  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent education required.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.
  • Must pass a 10-year Background check including an FAA required fingerprint based criminal history records check.
  • Test negative on an FAA mandated pre- employment drug test, and on subsequent tests under the National Airlines drug and alcohol testing policy applicable to employees occupying safety sensitive positions.
  • Must be willing to comply with necessary pre-employment checks mandated by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA)
  • Must attend and successfully complete the 6-week National Airlines Flight Attendant training without any interruptions.
  • Must obtain Flight Attendant Certificate issued by the Federal Aviation Administration
  • Successful candidates will be based in Orlando, FL (MCO) and must be able to comply with National Airlines Reserve and Scheduling policies.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, days, nights, and holidays and be able to be away from base for periods up to 18 days (about 2 and a half weeks) per month.
  • Must be reliable, punctual, and dependable.
  • Must comply with all authorities, laws that have jurisdiction over operations that are conducted over the high seas or within a foreign country.
  • Must obtain the required vaccinations and inoculations to adhere to health requirements of the destinations that we serve.
  • Comfortable utilizing basic functions of electronic devices
  • Must be able to interact with passengers and co-workers in a professional manner.
  • One (1) year of direct customer service work experience is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be at least 5’ 2” tall to reach emergency equipment in the overhead bins.
  • Able to lift up to 49 pounds from floor to overhead bin, push/pull services carts weighing up to 250 pounds, open and close aircraft doors and emergency exits without assistance.
  • Able to bend, stoop, and stretch repeatedly.
  • Must be able to lift carryon luggage into the overhead compartments.
  • Must be able and willing to serve peanuts, or meals containing shellfish/seafood, beef, and pork.
  • Able to work with animals and around other allergens and products including latex.
  • Must be able to carry personal luggage using air stairs to board the aircraft.
  • Ability to stand/ walk for long periods of time
  • Ability to sit in an aircraft jump seat with seatbelt and shoulder harness fastened.
