Position Summary

The Linehaul (Shuttle) Driver is responsible for transporting full trailers from the Orlando Distribution Center (DC) to designated Company locations [i.e. PA] and returning loaded trailers to the DC. This role may also include occasional backhauls as operational needs require.

Key Responsibilities

As a Linehaul Driver, you will:

• Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections and complete DOT inspection reports
• Safely transport loaded and empty trailers between the DC and domiciles
• Secure freight to ensure safe, undamaged transport
• Maintain accurate driver logs (manual or Samsara) in compliance with DOT regulations
• Complete linehaul, backhaul, and pickup runs as assigned
• Operate in a safe and professional manner to prevent injuries and protect company assets
• Perform additional duties as required

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

• Minimum age of 23
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A)
• At least 6 months or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience
• Ability to meet Samuels Seafood Co. MVR and risk management standards
• Ability to read, write, and understand English at a level necessary to safely perform job duties, including comprehension of work instructions, safety procedures, and required communications
