Valencia College is now hiring a Part‑Time Shipping and Receiving Clerk to support operations for VCentials, Valencia College’s campus pantry initiative.

This position is responsible for shipping, receiving, stocking supplies, recording materials received at the loading dock, and maintaining related inventory and purchasing records. The selected candidate will primarily be based at the West Campus, with regular weekly travel to the Osceola and East Campuses, and occasional travel to additional Valencia campuses as needed.

The ideal candidate will have:
  • A valid driver’s license and reliable personal transportation for travel between campuses
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • The ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast‑paced environment
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills

General Position

Description:

Responsible for shipping, receiving, stocking supplies, recording materials that arrive at loading dock and maintaining related records of merchandise purchased by the College.

Flexible Work Arrangement:
Fully On‑site – Employee performs all of their job duties at a Valencia College location, with flexibility in the work schedule, if appropriate.

Grade: 2021

Exemption Status:
Non‑Exempt

Proposed Work Schedule (hours subject to change based on business needs):
Monday‑Thursday 6:30 AM‑12:45 PM

Salary Range: $16.25 per hour

Essential Job Functions
  • Receives incoming supplies by unloading merchandise and placing in assigned stock areas.
  • Packages merchandise for shipment.
  • Counts incoming merchandise and checks with purchase orders to verify and record the receipt of stock; notifies supervisor of irregular shipments.
  • Maintains inventory levels.
  • Moves materials and equipment from area to area or campus to campus.
  • Arranges stock in assigned area, maintains clean area.
  • Packages, returns and coordinates pickups.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Qualifications

    Driver’s License Requirement

    Must possess a valid Florida Driver’s License. Employee will be required to operate a college vehicle, including but not limited to on and between campuses and in the local community, in order to perform the essential job functions.

    Required Minimum Education – High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

    Preferred Experience – Experience in a position with similar duties.
