The Inside Sales Associate/Back‑up Driver will act as a Sales Associate for the retail store by selling products to businesses and industrial customers. The associate will also fill in as a backup driver when needed. In this role, you will support and guide both our walk‑in and phone‑in customers, ensuring their needs are met with excellent service. Based on order activity, you will also contribute to our delivery operations by operating a 20‑ton truck loaded with compressed gas cylinders, liquid cylinders, and goods for delivery to customers on our scheduled or unscheduled routes.

- Reliable Monday–Friday schedule starting at 7:30 am, with occasional weekend support to assist the team.

- Vehicle Operation:
Drive a CDL B truck to ensure products reach the community safely. - Customer Connection:
Assist customers by understanding their goals, identifying the right products, and locating merchandise to ensure their success. - Transaction Stewardship:
Process payments for merchandise or services, accurately entering sales into our system, managing payments, and assisting customers with wrap‑and‑bag purchases and loading into vehicles. - Safety First:
Follow all safety procedures and guidelines for cylinder handling during exchanges and storage. - Showroom Environment:
Maintain a welcoming and professional showroom environment for the team and guests. - Delivery Excellence:
Safely load, deliver, and unload hard goods and cylinders, fostering strong relationships with customers at their locations. - Vehicle Care:
Perform pre‑ and post‑trip vehicle inspections, documenting any needs to keep equipment in excellent working order.
- Valid Class A or B CDL with HAZMAT & Airbrake endorsements. Hazmat is required; candidates without HAZMAT will not be considered.
- Maintain appropriate driver’s license, medical card, and endorsements.
- No more than two traffic convictions or the equivalent criteria as described.
- No driving while under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance within the last seven years.
- Must be able to work in a drug‑free environment.
- Be able to regularly lift 75 lbs and move more than 125 lbs with material‑handling equipment.
- 1 year of CDL driving experience in the last five years or proof of a trucking‑school certificate completed in the last 12 months.
- Forklift experience.
- Sales experience.
