Responsibilities
  • A Dispatcher plays an essential role in scheduling drivers to pick up and deliver equipment to our customers or vendors. Dispatchers are typically in charge of supervising the drivers’ routes and the field units’ status to ensure the drivers’ schedule is efficient and productive.
  • Dispatchers are responsible for managing and reroute drivers for the purpose of last-minute orders, expedited orders, or customer-requested equipment swaps.
  • Efficiently dispatch personnel and resources to various locations according to the established schedule.
  • Monitor and track the progress of assignments and provide updates to the appropriate parties.
  • Coordinate with drivers and field personnel to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Receive and process incoming requests for assistance or services and prioritize them based on urgency.
  • Maintain accurate records of all dispatch activities, including assignments, completion times, and any issues encountered.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams, customers, and external stakeholders to ensure all requirements are met.
  • Remain informed of any changes or updates that could potentially impact the dispatch operations.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Proficiency in using scheduling software and tools
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle emergencies
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in the entertainment industry
  • Knowledge of the entertainment industry and understanding of local routes and driver needs
