Driver Helper

We are looking for a driver helper in Orlando, FL. The driver’s helper is responsible for assisting the driver in all day‑to‑day activities, including loading and unloading the truck and any other duties the driver may need.

• Accurately load the daily route onto the truck
• Scan daily route onto the truck
• Assist driver with navigating to deliveries
• Assist driver with carrying freight to a business or residence destination
• Utilize manifest to pull route, stage freight, and assist drivers to load and unload trucks
• Material handling may include one or more of the following: picking, packing, scanning, kitting (as applicable), counting products and other similar duties
• Must ensure timeliness, packaging, and systems work is completed accurately
• Identifying and annotating overages, shortages, and damages (OS&D)
• Safely operate warehouse equipment, such as forklift, pallet jacks, etc.
• Read and follow detailed and defined instructions in a fast‑paced environment
• Ensure safe and secure work environment including all TSA and OSHA guidelines
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Ability to read a map and general geographic knowledge of the area
• Ability to lift 75 lbs. unassisted
• Good customer service skills
• Ability to work overtime as needed
• Ability to read and comprehend work instructions well
• Ability to work well with others with little supervision
• High attention to detail required
• Speak, read, and write in English

• Standing and walking for extended periods
• Frequently stoop, kneel, crouch, use hands, reach, bend, and lift objects above heads
• Regularly lift/move up to 50 pounds and use pallet jacks and forklifts
• Regular use of a phone and a PC and reading and writing of shipping documents

$16 to $16.50 per hour. The above stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary range for the position; the company may adjust the range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors such as location.
