Truck Driver

Position Overview

Truck Driver I at Wilsonart in Orlando. Assigns deliveries, loads and unloads trucks, and undertakes additional assigned tasks.

• Loads and unloads materials.
• Drives truck to destinations and returns safely.
• Maintains truck log in accordance with state and federal regulations.
• Prepares and maintains required documentation.
• Inspects truck equipment and supplies.
• Performs emergency roadside repairs.
• Positions hazardous material trailer identification.
• Reads maps and plans routes to the load destination.
• Maintains an acceptable driving record.
• Assists the needs of the customer.
• Assists in the distribution center as necessary or directed.
• Performs other tasks as required.

• Knowledge of Department of Transportation and state regulations and local laws related to vehicle operations.
• Understanding of truck hauling procedures.
• Knowledge of hazardous waste materials and safe handling procedures.
• Ability to operate lift trucks.
• Ability to understand and follow directions.
• Ability to work independently.
• Knowledge of safety standards applicable to the work area and relevant regulations.

High School Graduate or GED. Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s license with Hazardous Material and Tanker endorsements. 1+ years local experience. No chargeable accidents or citations in five years.

Perform tasks with team members, including lifting, pushing, pulling up to 50 lbs; continuous physical exertion such as walking and standing throughout the day.

Regular exposure to fumes or odors, temperature extremes, or loud noises. Examples include engineering, waste management, laundry workers, and yards/grounds staff.

CDL drivers must comply with all FMCSA regulations and are prohibited from using a mobile device while driving.
