As an AHCA-licensed facility, Little Angels PPEC deliversa safe, supportive, and nurturing environment for children who require daily nursing care, cannot have their needs fully met in a school setting, or face ongoing non emergency medical conditions that resultin frequent hospital visits.

Job Summary:

We are seeking areliable and compassionate driver to join our team. The Driver will be responsible for safely transporting children with special needs to and from our PPEC facility, ensuring their safety and well-being throughout the journey. This role requires patience, attentiveness, and a strong commitment to providing excellent care and service.

Responsibilities:

• Safely transport children with special needs to and from the medical day care facility.
• Assist children in and out of the vehicle, ensuring their safety and comfort.
• Secure wheelchairs, car seats, and other mobility devices properly within the vehicle.
• Maintain accurate records of pick-ups and drop-offs.
• Conduct daily inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
• Report any mechanical issues or necessary repairs promptly.
• Keep the vehicle clean and sanitized, following hygiene and safety protocols.
• Maintain clear communication with PPEC staff, parents, and guardians regarding transportation schedules.
• Handle emergencies or incidents calmly and effectively, reporting any concerns as necessary.
• Follow all PPECpolicies and procedures, including safety protocols and confidentiality guidelines.
• Complete required training and certifications, including CPR and first aid,as necessary.

• Valid driver’slicense with a clean driving record.
• Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a healthcare or childcare setting.
• Ability to operate wheelchair lifts if needed.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, empathy,and a strong sense of responsibility.
• Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and efficiently.
• May be required to work early mornings, evenings, and weekends based on transportation schedules.
