Valencia College is now hiring a Full-Time CDL Instructor to join the Continuing Education Transportation and Logistics team.

Commercial truck drivers are a vital part of our country’s success and way of life. This role would allow you to also play a vital role in our students’ lives. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering the necessary content for teaching students how to perform in their future industry.

The Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) program at Valencia College far exceeds the minimum requirements of the Florida CDL License Exam to ensure drivers are highly skilled, courteous to other drivers, know all safety requirements, and can understand the rules of the road. The ideal candidate will possess the following:

• A current, unrestricted Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
• Certification as a state‑approved CDL Examiner
• Training or experience in the transportation and logistics industry
• Relevant industry credentials, certifications, or training aligned with the courses being taught
• Maintain a current DOT medical certificate (DOT physical).
• Outgoing, dependable team player with a strong ability to collaborate effectively with others.
• Demonstrate patience, compassion, and a genuine desire to help students succeed.

Please Note:

This position requires working outdoors in various weather conditions. Instructors should be proficient in using a computer, laptop, or tablet, and comfortable navigating a Windows‑based environment.

• This position will operate in a fully on‑site environment at the West Campus.
