Summary
The Inventory Manager is responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and reconciling product inventory across Goodwill
Industries of Central Florida's warehouse network, including the Taft Hub and Emerald Dunes. This role ensures accurate
inventory records through daily cycle counting, auditing, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration. Reporting
to the Senior Director of Transportation & Logistics and working closely with the Supply Chain Manager, the Inventory
Manager supports inventory integrity, operational planning, and continuous improvement. This is a management-level
individual contributor role with no direct reports.
Key Responsibilities Time
* Inventory Control and Cycle Counting 50%
• Perform daily cycle counts across multiple warehouse locations.
• Maintain accurate inventory records for all container and product types.
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies through research and reconciliation.
• Ensure same-day documentation and proper categorization of all received product.
Operational Coordination and Data Integrity 25%
• Collaborate with supervisors, leads, and cross-functional partners to validate inventory movement.
• Track inbound and outbound product flow and reconcile records accordingly.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports.
Process Improvement and System Readiness 15%
• Identify inventory control gaps and recommend process improvements.
• Support development of standardized inventory procedures.
• Assist in preparation for future IMS/WMS implementation.
Administrative and Audit Support 10%
• Support internal audits and inventory reviews.
• Provide analytical support for special projects and leadership requests.

Inventory accuracy, operational planning, data integrity, audit readiness, and service reliability.
• Decision Authority:
Manages inventory processes and controls; recommends corrective actions and process
improvements; escalates significant discrepancies or risks to leadership.
Qualifications - Education & Experience
• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in logistics, operations, business, or
a related field preferred.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in inventory control, warehousing, distribution, or logistics
operations.
• Demonstrated experience performing cycle counts, inventory audits, and inventory reconciliation.
• Experience working in multi-location or high-volume operational environments preferred.
• Experience supporting or preparing for Inventory Management System (IMS) or Warehouse Management
System (WMS) implementation preferred.
Qualifications - Other Skills, Abilities & Knowledge
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining alignment with leadership direction.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, Pivot Tables, data analysis, and
reporting tools.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
• Ability to interpret inventory data, identify discrepancies, and recommend corrective actions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills across multiple levels of the organization.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, changing operational environment.
• Familiarity with warehouse operations, material handling, and process improvement concepts preferred.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions
• Work is performed in indoor and outdoor warehouse environments with exposure to weather, noise, dust,
and moving equipment.
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, and move throughout warehouse facilities for extended periods.
• Regularly required to inspect inventory locations, containers, trailers, and storage areas.
