Job Summary
The Warehouse Associate helps with the daily warehouse operations at the direction of the warehouse supervisor/lead.
Responsibilities- Confirms availability of items to be sent out by verifying inventory records or conducting inventories of required items.
- Pulls material from shelves for packages for the crews.
- Manually handles, repacks, or restacks pallets of material as needed.
- Operates forklift truck as needed, after passing training.
- Documents all related activities and completes forms and reports.
- Helps keep warehouse clean.
- Performs other related duties as directed.
- Able to communicate verbally and in writing.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Must have basic mathematical skills.
- Able to show up to work on time.
- Able to work as a team and independently.
- Able to stay until all tasks are completed.
- Basic understanding of or ability to quickly learn company product codes and terminology.
- Thorough understanding of warehouse policies and procedures.
- Good analytical skills and ability to make sound judgments relative to inventory.
- Must be willing to operate a forklift.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- At least two years of work experience in a warehouse preferred.
- Walking and standing all day.
- Repeat pulling, pushing, carrying, bending approximately 50% of time.
- Lifting approximately 25% of the time.
- Able to climb ladders/stairs to reach shelves in the warehouse.
- Able to work in the heat and all types of weather in a warehouse environment.
- Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds at times.
- Ability to move around the warehouse.
