The ideal candidate has strong experience in warehouse operations, inventory control, and material handling, with the ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing, receiving, storing, and distributing materials and equipment used in utility operations. This position requires a high level of accuracy in maintaining inventory records, operating warehouse equipment, and preparing and staging materials for field crews. Strong communication and customer service skills are essential.

Ideal Candidate Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of six (6) months of warehousing or related experience
  • Class A Florida CDL or completion within 6 months to 1 year of hire
  • Forklift Certification required within 60 days of employment
  • Warehousing, electrical, mechanical, and instrumentation background (preferred)
  • Customer service skills (preferred)
  • Valid Driver’s license
Compensation and Benefits

Salary Range

Starting at $24.98 per hour (estimated $51,966.00 annually) with a structured step progression system and performance-based pay increases every 6 months up to $30.03 per hour (estimated $62,464.48 annually).

Job Purpose

Under direct supervision, perform all basic warehouse functions including issue, receive, pickup/deliver materials; cycle counting, work rotating shifts, call‑out, cross‑train and support customer needs.

Primary Functions
  • Assist on daily safety checks of all logistics equipment, i.e., trucks, forklifts, aisle stackers, etc., before operating
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and orderly warehouse
  • Issue materials into the OUC (Enterprise One) computer system and barcode scanner
  • Mark and/or label materials with identifying information
  • Assist in the delivery of materials to operating crews
  • Assist in keeping free bins stocked to proper levels
  • Assist in the pick‑up / delivery of material from OUC suppliers
  • Use OUC equipment for storage and retrieval of materials when accompanied by a senior Warehouse Associate
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Technical Requirements
  • Adaptable and flexible in evolving work environments
  • Learn and apply safe work practices
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Make arithmetic computations using whole numbers, fractions and decimals, and compute rates, ratios, and percentages
  • Use Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) and standard office equipment (telephone, computer, copier, etc.)
