Part Time Material Handler

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the distribution of product from Columbia Sportswear Company’s Distribution Center by ensuring product is received, labeled, inventoried and shipped according to customer expectations and demands.
• Load and unload material within a warehouse or storage facility.
• Utilize hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, conveyors, or other handling equipment to move material to and from aircraft, trucks or trains and within the facility.
• Receive incoming products and affix proper labeling.
• Make boxes according to pick labels, load them onto a cart, and pick to the appropriate box.
• Unload cases from pick cart, verify accuracy of packing, seal cartons and send to shipping.
• Dispose of empty cartons.
• Maintain accuracy and attention to detail while using Warehouse Management System (WMS) to ensure accountability for all units.
• Operate manual or automated material handling equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and/or order pickers.
• Maintain positive open lines of communication with all Columbia Sportswear management, staff and other departments to contribute to smooth flow of information and efficient operation of the organization.
