Equipment Operator I

Duration5+ Months
ScheduleSunday – Thursday 6 PM – 2 AM (includes overtime until job completed). Training:
Monday – Friday 9 AM – 6 PM for 1–2 weeks.
- *** Hiring for Order Selectors! These are temp‑to‑perm positions. ***

- * MUST have experience with DOUBLE ELECTRIC PALLET JACK; need to know how to drive a reach truck. Please ensure this shows in the job history.
- * Environment: dry goods, non‑freezer for hotel amenities.
- Must be experienced with double pallet jack operation – 2–4 years of experience.
- Order picking from floor and upper locations (High reach experience is a must).
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs repeatedly; team lifts for 50+ lbs.
- Build pallets and secure pallets to avoid tipping.
- Production environment – must have sense of urgency.
- Must be able to work overtime if workload demands it.
- Steel‑toe or composite‑toe footwear must be worn on day 1.
- Top 3 must‑haves: attention to detail, strong work ethic, teamwork.
- 2–3 years of experience (at least 1 year).
- Responsible for operating an electric pallet jack or forklift.
- Selecting correct products from warehouse racking.
- Labeling product using SOS label technology.
- Palletizing product to build customer orders.
- Delivering product to dock safely and efficiently.
- Hand selecting orders within warehouse dry environments.
- Operating assigned SOS unit to create labels.
- Correctly placing labels on product, stacking product on pallets per selecting procedures.
- Staging pallets for loading on proper dock locations.
- Stretch‑wrapping product on loading dock.
- Maintaining and safely operating all assigned equipment, performing pre- and post‑trip inspections.
- Follows client safe preferred work methods and sanitation requirements.
- Position requires working until all products are accurately selected and loaded, including potential overtime on holidays and weekends.
- Must meet or exceed minimum efficiency levels established through engineered production standard.
- Working rapidly at a constant pace for entire shift in fast‑paced environment.
- Meeting or exceeding established cases per error goals; developing knowledge of product placement and inventory control techniques.
- Basic requirements: over 18, read/write/communicate effectively in English, basic arithmetic.
- Basic physical fitness to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Reports to Night Warehouse Manager / Supervisor.
