Education Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous warehouse or material handling training is beneficial.
Experience Requirements
  • Experience moving, organizing, loading, or unloading materials in warehouse or manufacturing environments.
  • Ability to accurately identify products, labels, inventory locations, and shipping documentation.
  • Knowledge of safe material handling practices and workplace safety procedures.
  • Ability to operate pallet jacks or other material handling equipment as required.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and dependable work habits.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous warehouse, shipping, receiving, logistics, manufacturing, or distribution experience is preferred.
  • Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, RF scanners, or warehouse management systems is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of inventory control procedures, warehouse documentation, or Lean warehouse practices is considered an asset.
  • Individuals who demonstrate reliability, teamwork, attention to detail, and safe work habits are well positioned for success as a Material Handler.
Physical Capabilities
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive material handling tasks throughout the shift.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to safely move products using manual or powered material handling equipment.
  • Ability to work efficiently in warehouse or manufacturing environments while following established safety procedures.

What You Will Do

As a Material Handler you will receive, move, stage, load, unload, organize, and transport materials throughout warehouse or manufacturing operations. You will verify inventory, maintain accurate product locations, prepare materials for production or shipment, assist with inventory control, and help ensure safe, efficient movement of products while following established workplace procedures.

  • Receiving, storing, moving, and distributing materials
  • Reads production schedule, customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed
  • Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or other designated areas
  • Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence, such as: size, type, style, color, or product code
  • Assembles customer orders from stock and places on pallets or shelves, or conveys order to packing station or shipping department

The Material Handler supports warehouse productivity by safely moving materials throughout receiving, storage, production, and shipping areas. This role requires organization, attention to detail, and a commitment to workplace safety.

A successful Material Handler understands inventory handling, warehouse procedures, material movement, and product identification while maintaining accurate inventory flow and efficient daily operations. Dependable performance contributes directly to operational success.
