Join a dynamic team dedicated to supporting field technicians and project teams by ensuring materials, tools, vehicles, and warehouse operations are organized and ready for success. As a Warehouse Associate, you will play a key role in coordinating project staging, inventory management, purchasing support, and fleet maintenance. This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment where supporting others is a top priority.
Responsibilities- Review daily technician and project schedules to anticipate material, equipment, tool, and vehicle needs.
- Serve as the primary warehouse support contact for field technicians, assisting with material and equipment questions and resolving shortages or readiness issues.
- Stage and label project materials and equipment for scheduled pickups, ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate.
- Assist technicians during project pickup and return, confirming quantities and condition of items, and promptly communicating discrepancies.
- Provide basic operational support for low-voltage tools and equipment, and coordinate repairs or advanced technical issues as needed.
- Receive, inspect, count, label, store, and issue materials, tools, and equipment using inventory systems.
- Maintain clean, organized, and clearly identified warehouse and storage areas.
- Monitor stock levels and initiate replenishment of consumables and technician supplies as authorized.
- Support inventory counts, van inventories, and discrepancy research, making approved corrections and maintaining documentation.
- Track company tools and equipment, including check-in/check-out, condition, and repair needs.
- Maintain organized fleet records, schedule vehicle maintenance, and coordinate service appointments.
- Perform routine vehicle readiness checks and escalated mechanical or safety concerns as needed.
- Support procurement of approved materials, equipment, and supplies, and track purchase orders and deliveries.
- Maintain professional relationships with suppliers, vendors, technicians, and internal teams.
- Follow company safety procedures and proper material-handling practices to ensure a safe work environment.
- Safeguard company inventory, tools, equipment, and vehicle documents.
- Prioritize multiple requests, meet deadlines, and communicate clearly when project needs or schedules change.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience in warehouse, inventory, fleet, purchasing, technical support, or low-voltage industry preferred.
- Familiarity with inventory or ERP systems, purchase orders, Microsoft Office, email, and basic recordkeeping.
- Ability to identify and organize common low-voltage materials, cable, connectors, tools, and test equipment, or willingness to learn quickly.
- Valid driver's license required for operating company vehicles.
- Ability to safely operate standard warehouse equipment after training.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and consistent with follow-through.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a service-focused approach to supporting technicians.
- Accurate with quantities, part numbers, project coding, documentation, and data entry.
- Able to work independently, manage competing priorities, and escalated issues when necessary.
- Clear and professional verbal and written communication skills.
- Dependable, safety-conscious, and accountable for company property.
- Ability to regularly stand, walk, bend, reach, and work in a warehouse environment.
- Ability to frequently lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds, with assistance or equipment for heavier items.
- Comfortable working around vehicles, loading areas, varying temperatures, noise, dust, and active warehouse operations.
- Ability to use a computer, phone, scanner, and other warehouse or office equipment throughout the workday.
