Accountant - Non-Profit
Our organization is seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented Permanent Accountant to join our team. This role is an exceptional opportunity for someone with a passion for non‑profit work to apply their skills in a meaningful way. As a key member of our finance team, you will play a crucial role in our organization's financial management, including the execution and coordination of all accounting activities.

Experience: Mid Level Salary: $50,000 - $70,000 per year
Responsibilities- Manage all aspects of day‑to‑day bookkeeping and accounting processes including but not limited to A/P, A/R, payroll, journal entries and bank reconciliation in accordance with GAAP.
- Prepare financial statements, reports, memos, invoices and other documents.
- Handle monthly and annual close process.
- Ensure compliance with all internal processes.
- Oversee accounting activities for the accuracy and completeness of all financial data.
- Develop and document business processes to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
- Assist with preparation for annual audits.
- Liaise with external auditors and manage financial audits.
- Provide support to the finance team during budgeting and financial planning process.
- Ad‑hoc projects as required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required.
- CPA or progress towards obtaining CPA certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably within a non‑profit or church environment.
- Proficient in Quick Books and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Thorough knowledge of GAAP and accrual‑based accounting.
- Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting and cost control principles, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Strong ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrated commitment to ethics and integrity, and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
