Position Goal
To provide clerical services in support of the school or designated district department
Performance Responsibilities- Analyze data in a previously designed format and provide basic conclusions.
- Answer and route telephone calls.
- Collect, record, or enter data/information in a previously designed format.
- Compile data and information.
- Compute and tabulate data from computer and document records as directed.
- Verify accuracy of data and information submitted.
- Dispense medication to students according to prescribed policy and procedures.
- Maintain documents and computer files.
- Greet and assist visitors to the school/department.
- Operate specialized equipment or computer software on a repetitive and basic level.
- Order supplies based on submitted requests.
- Process request forms at an entry level of transaction, such as checking the form for completeness.
- Receive and distribute supplies/equipment, including authority to sign for receipt.
- Reconcile records as directed based on set time periods, criteria and requirements of the assigned function.
- Schedule activities/appointments on a calendar as assigned.
- Sort and distribute mail.
- Receive information, requests and complaints, and bring to resolution as directed.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the designated supervisor

Required Qualifications /CertificationsREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• High school diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent
• One year secretarial/ clerical experience or training or a combination of both preferred
• Computer experience preferred
REQUIRED SKILLS:
• Ability to file correctly
• Knowledge of business English, spelling and arithmetic
• Ability to handle information confidentiality
• Ability to meet and deal effectively with the public and employees
• Ability to plan and organize own work
• Skill in data entry and retrieval
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions
• Ability to work cooperatively and productively to complete assigned tasks
• Basic skill in using computer and word processing system

Salary Info$15.00 - $16.20 per hour
