Responsibilities
- Serve as supportive contact for Large Power/Key Account
- Serve as supportive contact for city and town governments coordinating franchise matters and
- Implement annual and long-term business strategic plans, including both electric and non-electric business opportunities, to positively affect the success of SVEC’s business community, resulting in mutually beneficial contractual
- Assist development and maintenance a database profile of each key account
- Identify trends or events which may present additional opportunities. Develop programs, proposals and services which will capitalize on these trends or
- Identify accounts and analyze them by risk, business type, revenue, and service needs.
- Monitor and analyze services for member to provide billing and purchase alternatives; advise the members of rate options that minimize their energy costs from the
- Work with all SVEC departments to develop the best possible solutions members’ short and
long-term needs.
- Coordinate engineering and operational inquiries with members ensuring timely follow-up by SVEC personnel to power quality inquiries/concerns.
- Become familiar with and maintain relationships with members to result in greater understanding and improved relationships with the key
- Maintain a network of experts, which will aid in providing solutions to members’ business needs such as energy efficiency and demand response concerns.
- Work closely with Economic Development department.
- Coordinate cost of service estimates for members with engineering staff and ensure timely follow-up with the
- Perform and maintain risk assessment analysis for accounts.
- Coordinate industrial retention calls between cooperative and members.
- Maintain regular communication with accounts to manage reasonable member
- Assist to procure land, permits, approvals and meet zoning requirements for infrastructure projects.
- Assist Member Services with member inquiries that relate to accounts of all
- Assist with outages during storms, in the office, and in the field, direct crews to damage and s
- Assume management of the outdoor lighting

- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business or related field and 5 years related experience and/or training or equivalent.
- Training in public speaking, writing and account management is
- Background in cooperative business practices
- Experience in the rural electrification and Cooperative principles is
- Basic knowledge of electrical formulas to calculate electrical usage and
- Understanding of federal, state, and local government regulations and guidelines on distributed generation and energy
- Thorough knowledge of electric utility rate
- Supervisory experience
Skills and Abilities
- Must be able to maintain professionalism and control under all
- Has and maintains a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record and is able to operate SVEC
vehicles.
- Must become and remain certified in CPR and first aid. Must also be skilled in the use of safety equipment.
- Ability to handle the challenge of operating efficiently under a very flexible schedule due to the number of unanticipated and unplanned requests for services from the various individuals, departments, and outside contacts with whom this position is
- Leadership ability and the ability to motivate peers toward goal
- Strong verbal, written, analytical and interpersonal
- Ability to dissect and resolve complex problems quickly and
- High level of concentration on accuracy, timeliness, flexibility, reasoning, ability to prioritize and confidentiality.

- Possess effective techniques to research and access all sources necessary to fulfill position responsibilities.
