POSITION GOAL
To assist with students during lunch periods and cleaning eating areas
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Complete annual required training.
2.
* Promote appropriate behavior among students.
3.
* Deal in a positive and effective manner with disruption that may occur.
4.
* Assist students with utensils and supplies.
5.
* Assist students in learning to keep their area clean.
6.
* Work as a member of a team without close supervision.
7.
* Use effective positive interpersonal communication skills, maintaining composure under stress.
8.
* Assist in cleaning dining room tables.
9.
* Assist in emptying dining room trash.
10.
* Assist with spills and mopping floors, as necessary.
11. Perform other related duties as assigned by the Principal.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• High School diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent, preferred, or demonstrate ability to read and write at a functional level by successful completion of Volusia County Schools Level 1 skills assessment

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Ability to work harmoniously with students and adults and to provide friendly service
• Strong customer service orientation
• Ability to work efficiently and effectively at a fast pace
• Ability to follow instructions
• Skill in interpersonal communication for cordial interaction with students and adults
• Intermediate language skills
