To become a financial advisor, you must obtain the following licenses:
Life/Accident & Health Certifications, Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 6 or 7 and Series 63. Northwestern Mutual provides pre‑payment/reimbursement for course tuition fees and books.

  • Average advisor gross annual earnings of $128,137 (Financial Representatives with 1–4 Years in Business)
  • Average advisor gross annual earnings of $535,832 (Financial Representatives with 5+ Years in Business)
