Overview
Brookdale Ormond Beach is looking for an LPN – Nurse Manager. We are a 58‑unit assisted living community seeking a dedicated professional to lead daily healthcare operations and ensure high-quality resident care.
Responsibilities- Manage the day-to-day healthcare operations of the community to ensure residents’ healthcare needs are met.
- Ensure residents are treated with respect and dignity and that quality care adapts as residents’ needs change.
- Maintain consistent quality resident care and service delivery across all shifts; may assume caregiver or Med Tech/Aide responsibilities to meet resident needs and staffing requirements.
- Supervise licensed nursing staff, medication technicians/CMAs, and caregivers; provide ongoing training and education, including in-service and situation-specific training; manage staff schedules.
- Oversee medication training, pharmacy management, and medication supervision/administration; conduct periodic medication skills inventory checks and audits per Brookdale guidelines.
- Share on-call duties as required.
- Maintain required education for state nursing licensure (LPN/LVN or RN) and pursue 1–2 years of relevant experience as applicable.
- Hold and maintain an LPN or LVN license.
- Current LPN license (or LVN) and prior experience in Assisted Living or Memory Care preferred.
- Experience supervising nursing staff and coordinating care across shifts.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
The hours for this position are 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m., with on‑call rotation every other week (and additional on‑call rotation every 5 weeks as required).

Base pay is determined by applicant’s skills and experience. Temporary associates may not be benefits eligible, but may participate in the 401(k) program. Veterans, transitioning active duty military personnel, and military spouses are encouraged to apply. Brookdale offers to advance naturalization fees (Form N-400) up to $725 for qualified associates who have been with us for at least a year.
