Overview
Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years CVOR RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An exciting opportunity is available for a skilled RN with CVOR experience to join a dedicated surgical team on a contract basis. In this essential role, you will collaborate with surgeons and healthcare professionals to provide exemplary perioperative care to cardiovascular patients.
Schedule/Hours- 12-hour day shifts
- 36 hours per week
- 13-week assignment
- On-call requirements: 1 weekend per month along with 1-2 weekdays of call
- Unencumbered RN license
- Minimum of 1 year of recent CVOR nursing experience
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
- Solid understanding of cardiovascular surgical procedures and protocols
- Deliver comprehensive patient care throughout the preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases of CVOR procedures
- Scrub and circulate for cardiovascular surgeries, ensuring a sterile environment
- Assess and monitor patients pre- and post-surgery, responding to changes in condition
- Document patient care clearly and accurately in the medical record
- Collaborate with the surgical team to anticipate needs and optimize patient outcomes
- Respond effectively to emergency situations and participate in on-call shifts as assigned
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of surgical technology and best practices
